\nUsman Ashraf, Senior Vice Chairman of Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) has said that on the occasion of the Domotax exhibition held in Germany, India has been invited them to participate in two exhibitions going to be held this year, which is under consideration.
\nHe further said that advance preparations will be started regarding the full participation in the Domotax exhibition to be held in Turkey next year. He expressed these views while presiding over the meeting of the North Zone Committee of the Association.
\nIn the meeting, the annual report of Carpet Training Institute (CTI) 2021-22, the establishment of a management committee for the next period and the reports presented by various committees and the problems faced by the industry were discussed. Senior central leaders Abdul Latif Malik, Pervez Hanif, Major (Rtd) Akhtar Nazir, Riaz Ahmed, Ijazur Rehman, Saeed Khan, Kamran Razi, Shahid Hassan, Umair Ashraf and others were also present on this occasion.
\nIn the meeting it is also observed that due to fluctuations in the dollar, exporters are suffering from severe hesitation. The participants of the meeting were also apprised of difficulties in importing chemicals and other products for the production of handmade carpets, there are difficulties in preparing foreign orders.
\nIn the meeting, the exporters who participated in the Domo Tax exhibition held recently in Germany presented a report and said that Pakistani products have received immense appreciation in the exhibition.
