Asks PDM to pinpoint terror incidents during PTI\u2019s tenure

\nFormer prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that he stands by his statement about Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, saying that the former president can file a defamation case against him.
\nTalking to senior journalists at his residence, the PTI chairman stated that he stands by his statement, wherein he accused former president Asif Ali Zardari of financing a terrorist group to assassinate him. Imran Khan also welcomed the defemation case filed by the Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP), saying that he stands by his remarks about Asif Ali Zardari.
\nWhile answering a question regarding assembly dissolution, PTI chief said that \u201cdissolving assemblies was the best strategy which pushed PDM government to a dead end.\u201d \u201cIf the assemblies were not dissolved, the general elections would not have taken place,\u201d he added.
\nHe warned that the constitution will be violated if the caretaker governor failed to conduct election within 90 days. He added that the party\u2019s election campaign will be started with full strength after his last medical check-up.
\nThe former premier also talked about the terrorist attack in Peshawar, saying, \u201cEverybody knew, the reaction would come after the Afghan jihad. The drone attacks were started in the tribal areas in 2004. I was the only one to raise my voice against the drone attacks.\u201d Mr Khan commended the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police\u2019s sacrifices.
\nMr Khan criticised political opponents for using the tragedy in Peshawar for political gain and took a dig at former President Asif Ali Zardari. He challenged Zardari to file a defamation suit against him, suggesting that such action would only be taken by those with a sense of honour.
\nRecalling his removal from office, Mr Khan stated, \u201cUnfortunately, the PTI government was overthrown through a regime change\u201d. Speaking of the whooping hike in the petroleum products\u2019 (POL) prices, Mr Khan pointed out the international petrol prices were still not too high.
\n He criticised the KP governor for discussing the delay in elections in the province. Blaming the PDM-led government for economic woes and rising terrorism, Mr Khan asked, \u201cHow can the current rulers steer the country in the right direction?\u201d
\nMr Khan lamented that salaried individuals were facing great difficulties and claimed that the country would face more economic difficulties. He claimed that more than 800,000 people had left the country due to their disappointment with the country\u2019s situation.
\nIt is pertinent to mention here that PTI chairman alleged that former president Asif Ali Zardari was among four people who were planning to kill him. According to details, the former premier made these remarks while addressing a press conference over the country\u2019s economic situation, predicting \u2018more economic challenges\u2019 in days to come.
