\nFormer Finance Minister (FM) Miftah Ismail has said Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has tendered resignation as senior vice president of PML-N to give space to Maryam Nawaz.
\n\u201cWhat agreement I had made with IMF was broken by Ishaq Dar. We have been injured by our own dagger, he said this while talking to a private TV channel here Wednesday.
\nHe went on to say \u201c Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had talked to Nawaz Sharif three years back and had said if the key of the party is given to Maryam Nawaz then he would resign.
\nShahid Khaqan Abbasi had said that if slot is given to Maryam Nawaz then he and senior leaders of party would move back, he added.
\nShahid Khaqan Abbasi is senior politicians in the party, he said adding now Maryam Nawaz has become senior. Abbasi preferred to remain silent and he moved aside. Abbasi said he would remain with party. What rumors are circulating in this regard have no substance.
\nWhat agreement I had made with IMF, ISHAQ Dar broke it, he remarked. It is as if we have got injured with our own dragger. When any FM enters into agreement with IMF, the other breaks it. IMF has to see credibility with Pakistan.
\nHe underlined when Pervez Musharraf quit the slot then PPP kept on leveling allegation against him. When PML-N came into power its allegation was the same what PPP had leveled.
\nMinisters and bureaucrats are good but the mode of governance is not good.
\nHe observed removing the ministers from their slots is prerogative of head of the party.
\nWe have no way other than resorting to IMF. The repayment of our loan is only possible through IMF.
\nHe said IMF tranches are not important but staying in IMF program is important.
\nWe are under the burden of loans since the last 30 years.
\nHe underscored IMF has set harsh conditions. We will have to hike the power tariff. The condition of scaling up electricity tariff is embarrassing for government. The prospects for dip in inflation look remote due to inflation. We are going to IMF even after 45 years too.
\nHe indicated that Qatar, UAE, UN and Asian Development Bank talked of making investment in Pakistan.
\nPakistan repays loan by obtaining loan, he held.
