China\u2019s renewable energy power generation reached 2.7 trillion kWh in 2022, accounting for 31.6 percent of the country\u2019s total electricity consumption, an increase of 1.7 percentage points compared with 2021, the latest data from the National Energy Administration (NEA) shows. \u201cRenewable energy is playing an increasingly prominent role in ensuring the country\u2019s energy supply,\u201d said NEA official Wang Dapeng. Web Desk<br \/>\nChina saw its newly installed capacity of renewable energy reach 152 million kilowatts in 2022, accounting for 76.2 percent of the country\u2019s newly installed power generation capacity.<br \/>\nThe steady growth of renewables was accompanied by accelerated investments in infrastructure projects.
