PM has expressed good wishes for me. I have too good wishes for him. I had tendered resignation a few days before. I was asked about some things which were not acceptable to me.<br \/>\nI told that I cannot continue my job with these conditions. There are some compulsions as well. Upon it PM has accepted my resignation.<br \/>\nOur end has occurred at good turn. I wanted no such work is done by me which leads to raise question on the institution. I always did my job as per law and merit.<br \/>\nAs per sources Aftab Sultan was in favor of doing things in accordance with the law. He was under pressure to make arrests. Under NAB amendment act the powers of chairman were curtailed. He had reservations over it. On the curtailment of powers, Aftab Sultan had refused to do work under some one will and whim. He did not want to play the role like former chairman NAB Javed Iqbal.<br \/>\nAftab Sultan is from Police service Pakistan and he is grade-22 officer.<br \/>\nHe worked on vital posts including DG IB. He had taken over charge as chairman NAB in July 2022 following the retirement of former chairman NAB Javed Iqbal.<br \/>\nIt is pertinent to mention here that the case of amendment in NAB law is pending hearing with Supreme Court.<br \/>\nAftab Sultan had assigned duties in different bureaus under new NAB law.<br \/>\nOn the petition of Islamabad High Court bar, Islamabad high court had ordered all the cases pending hearing in the court will be heard by larger bench following the amendment in NAB law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD Chairman NAB Aftab Haider has tendered resignation from his office and Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has accepted his resignation.
