\nJustice Athar Minallah of Supreme Court (SC) has remarked every child who is born in Pakistan has right to citizenship.
\nHe observed how can NADRA check the citizenship of any one. Checking citizenship is right of federal government and not of NADRA. NADRA act is not right to review citizenship. People of Hazara Community are Pakistanis too. Why discriminatory attitude is being shown to people of Hazara community.
\nWhosoever holds identity card is Pakistani. Why people of Hazara community are being harassed by levying additional conditions.
\nHe further remarked suspecting the citizenship of any one is grave violation of human rights. The identity car of Hafiz Hamdullah was cancelled by dubbing him Afghani. Son of Hafiz Hamdullah was in army.
\nA three member bench of Supreme Court (SC) presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial took up target killing suo motu notice case for hearing Tuesday.
\nOn being inquired by the court during the hearing of the case, Additional Advocate General (AAG) Balochistan told the court that the apprehensions of Hazara community have been allayed. Now the situation is better than earlier.
\nThe counsel for Hazara Community told the court much improvement has come in target killing and Law and order situation. The community is worried due to slapping of unnecessary conditions by NADRA and passport office. The condition of signatures of MNA and MPA is also placed for making passport.
\nAdditional advocate general told the court the same conditions which are applicable to common citizens apply to Hazara community for issuance of passport and national identity card.
\nHe said that identity card is issued if one out of 9 conditions is met.
\nThe CJP remarked citizenship is precious birth right. It should be reviewed where the powers are being transgressed.
\nThe counsel told the court Ali Raza of Hazara community has not been recovered so far.
\nJustice Athar Minallah inquired on this occasion can state not get recover its citizen.
\nThe court while seeking report from interior ministry and ministry of defence about the recovery of Ali Raza adjourned the hearing of the case for one month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
