\nWater Supply and Sanitation Company Peshawar (WSSP) has given the model status to Ghazi Street in Peshawar Neighborhood Council-1 Afridi Garhi.
\nIn this regard, WSSP\u2019s Field Officer Izzatullah Khan and Community Development Officer Qaiser Ali along with other officials handed over flower racks and other decoration stuff on behalf of WSSP and UNICEF during a ceremony at Ghazi Street on Tuesday.
\nThe goods were given to Neighborhood Chairman Haji Kamran Nazir and the elders of the area who were also made aware of social responsibilities on health and cleanliness.
\nHaji Kamran Nazir thanked the WSSP officials for awarding the status of Model Street to a street of his Neighborhood Council for the first time and assured that he would endeavor his level best to convert all the streets of this neighborhood into model streets with the active support of the locals wherein all civic facilities including the sanitation and clean drinking water would be made available in there.
\nOn this occasion, it was revealed that in view of frequent power outages in Afridi Garhi Neighborhood Council, the construction of a overhead water tank adjacent to the tubewell is also indispensable to ensure uninterrupted supply of hygienic water to the dense population of the area.
\nIt was further told that due to meager financial resources of the WSSP, this scheme will be included in the next ADP through the KP City Improvement Project being executed for uplifting of 14 major cities of the province including Peshawar city.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
