\nGovernor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa presided over the first convocation of the Women\u2019s University Mardan on Friday.
\nAddressing the students, Haji Gulam Ali said that development of the country is linked with empowering women; adding that prosperity of the society without equipping women with education would not be possible.
\nGovernor appreciated three disabled girls for completing their education from the university with distinctions.
\n\u201cI pay salute to the girl who successfully completed her education and today I awarded her degree,\u201d he maintained.
\nGovernor Haji Gulam Ali also announced jobs for three disabled graduates of the women\u2019s university.
\nHe said that after completing their education from the university, the second journey of the graduates started. Keep your struggle continuing and serve the society.
\nDaughters are very dear to their parents, like success in the field of education, they should be proud of their parents in practical life as well, Ghulam Ali added.
\nThe Governor maintained that as Chancellor, my real happiness is that as soon as the students graduate from the universities, they get jobs immediately.
\nHe urged that the universities should maintain close links with industry and focus should be made on female students\u2019 education and research in new fields of study.
\nVice chancellors have to understand the reasons for the difference in quality of education in public and private universities, Haji Ghulam Ali added.
\nThe government is ensuring the provision of resources and facilities, but we all have to do our part honestly.
\nHaji Ghulam Ali congratulated the management and faculty for the overall performance of Women\u2019s University Mardan.
