\nThe day-by-day increase in robbery incidents in several areas including the inner city has made the citizens worried.
\nAccording to reports lodged in different Police Stations across the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar, the Citizens started losing their mobile phones and valuables in broad daylight.
\nA person who robbed shopkeepers in Sarafa Bazaar was caught by the local people and was handed over to the Police. The young man was caught immediately by the local people when reportedly stole valuable things from the Gems and Jewelry Market.
\nThe alleged arrested thief used to steal in the same market before, the local and eyewitnesses said soon after apprehending. Shopkeepers and citizens also beat up the thief and then handed him over to the Police.
\nThe shopkeepers also demanded the government to ensure their security and directed the Police to keep up patrolling inside the City areas where most of the robbery and snatching valuable things at gun-point.
\nOne shopkeeper, wishing not to be named, said that they are compelled to give everythings with the robber\u2019s pointed gun on them during early morning when they are used to opening their shops and during the late hour at the closing times of their shops. He said despite the installation of the CCTV cameras on various points the thiefs did not bother to give them time rather snatching everythings they have.
\nA senior journalist Nadir Khawjah, who also lost his motorbike, when he went to hospital for admitting his ailing mother in emergency said that despite the Police arrested the thief I could not get my motorbike back rather the Police of the concerned Police Station said that they would give you Rs. 25000 instead of his motorbike of Rs. 75000. In the meantime my mother also died, Nadir Khawjah said.
\n\u201cHow, I can accept to get Rs. 25000 of my motorbike of Rs. 75000, he questioned. \u201cWe do nothing but to report to the concerned Police Station of my stolen bike,\u201d said Nadir Khawjah. \u201cNow the case is in the court and I am without my motorbike,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
