\nThe provincial chairman of All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) Fazal Moqeem Khan has accused the federal government of injustices in distribution of gas and demanded immediate end of persistent shortage of CNG in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nHe said that the incumbent government should have mercy toward the CNG sector which has guaranteed jobs to millions of people in the province.
\nSpeaking in the Khyber Union of Journalists program \u201cMeeting\u201d on Thursday, the provincial chairman said that owing to inappropriate policies for the CNG stations supply the sector has almost collapsed in the province.
\nThe president of KhUJ Nasir Hussain, Vice President Abdul Basir Qalandar and General Secretary Imran Yousafzai along with a large number of members of the Union were present on this occasion.
\nFazal Moqim Khan said that in the first month of the year, the business was closed in the name of gas supply to domestic consumers, however, supply for domestic consumers was not sufficient.
\nThe overall requirement of the province is 250 mcf in winter and 150 mcf in summer, but the province is currently producing 478 mcf of gas, while the supply of 50 mcf of gas from Bannu West will also start soon, he shared.
\nThe chairman furthered that in near future the province would produce more than 700 mcf. However, the CNG stations in the province are facing severe shortage of gas supply which is condemnable.
\nMost of the sectors in KP are on the verge of collapse and being closed owing to the policies of the government, adding that the CNG sector is still alive and combating the novel experiments of the federal government.
\nFazal said that there are about 540 CNG stations in the province with more than 160,000 working.
