\u2013Says PML-N ready for elections

\nPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz flayed on Friday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, saying he was kowtowing to the United States after causing uproar over the US conspiracy behind his ouster.
\nAddressing the convention in Gujranwala she termed \u2018PML-N stronghold\u2019, Maryam Nawaz said that Imran Khan is such a \u201chypocrite\u201d and \u201cliar\u201d that he cannot even stick to a single statement for long and never even accepts his basic failures.
\n\u201cWhen he lost power, he accused the United States and cited that diplomatic cypher was the reason behind his ouster, now he is begging the US for pardon. Yesterday, he said that he is ending the Jail Bharo Tehreek (court arrest movement) forgetting that the movement didn\u2019t even start, it was a failure,\u201d said Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
\nMaryam Nawaz maintained that a court arrest movement cannot succeed when the leader himself is hiding in his home \u201cZamanat (bail) Park\u201d. She reminded the audience of today\u2019s alleged audio leak of a conversation between PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry and his brother lawyer Faisal Chaudhry and said that PTI is habitual of setting up everything in their favour and now they are \u201cbring trucks outside courts\u201d.
\nShe also brought a toy truck with her and said the now people should only be looking at truck to know that she is talking about PTI and Imran Khan, suggesting that PTI should change their electoral symbol to truck. \u201cWe will puncture all four tyres of this truck and will send it home,\u201d Maryam Nawaz told the crowd.
\nShe also criticized the judiciary and said that whenever she shows the institution the mirror, she is accused of contempt of court but no contempt occurs when Nawaz Sharif was disqualified \u201cjust for not receiving a salary?\u201d.
\n\u201cThere is no contempt of court, no insult of judiciary when a man (Imran Khan) gets clean chit from court despite the fact that he lied on his nomination form? despite the fact that he hid his daughter. When will you (judiciary) punish him?\u201d she asked.
\nMaryam Nawaz thanked the party workers of Gujranwala for showing up in huge numbers in the convention and said that if someone has any doubt that PML-N isn\u2019t popular among youth, he or she can come and see this huge rally.
\nSchooling former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, Ms Nawaz said, \u201cImran handed over the biggest portfolio within his party to the Punjab\u2019s biggest thief.\u201d She asked the people of Gujranwala to get ready for the elections and extend their support to the PML-N.
\nThe PML-N Chief Organiser has also declared that her party was ready to participate in the elections, stating that she has already completed visits to half of Punjab. She expressed confidence in PML-N\u2019s chances of a \u201cthumping victory\u201d in the elections and urged equal opportunities for all participants.
\nNawaz also called for justice for PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, stating that a proven culprit and thief was roaming free while the hands of PML-N were being tightened. She taunted Imran\u2019s recent questioning of the increasing dollar-rupee parity ratio, stating that a person imposed after the \u201cPanama Conspiracy\u201d was questioning the destruction of the economy.
\nThe PML-N leader has urged Imran\u2019s facilitators to desist from reviving him, as she believed he had already finished politically. She also criticized his (Imran\u2019s) decision to leave the assemblies in April and later implore for the restoration of assembly memberships of his lawmakers, calling his decisions that of a \u201cmentally disturbed person\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
