\nPakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman berated on Wednesday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, saying there was a dire need for debarring the latter from the politics.
\nAddressing a press conference, Mr Rehman said everybody was equal in terms of the law. He scolded former US envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan Zalmay Khalilzad for \u201cspeaking in favour of Imran Khan.\u201d He added, \u201cOur stance turned out to be right that Imran is a representative of the foreign country.\u201d
\n\u201cCIA representative Zalmay Khalilzad is now tweeting in the favour of Imran Khan. Our stance is right that Imran Khan is a foreign agent and everything in Pakistan is happening at his behest. We will not let his agenda be successful in Pakistan,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cPakistan cannot bear the consequences of PTI chief\u2019s mistakes and protect our country from such evils.\u201d Mr Fazl launched a broadside at Mr Khan for \u201cevading arrest\u201d, saying, \u201cWe will not allow anybody to cause damage to our country\u201d.
\nFazlur Rehman said that Imran Khan put his political party against the state. He added that all resources should be used to establish state writ. \u201cSituation is very tense. Some people are telling us that Imran Khan should not be arrested. We want to ask them whether people were not arrested during Khan\u2019s government.\u201d
\nSpeaking about the security situation in Federally Administrative Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr Fazl said, \u201cThe security situation in FATA and KP is concerning. The problem of the new delimitations is also prevailing.\u201d
\nMr Fazl said, \u201cThe country is having no funds for holding elections. We should have to consider that whether the state is more important or Imran Khan\u2019s will.\u201d Claiming the PTI was having no political entity, Mr Fazl said the agenda which was started in the country will be undone. People like Mr Khan should be arrested to disclose reality, he added.
\nRegarding fresh elections, the PDM head said that they were also demanding polls in the previous government but Khan was fleeing from the elections. \u201cWe are having concerns about some issues. Law and order situation becomes an issue in ex-FATA and the whole Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Moreover, the census is also underway.\u201d
