\nAn anti-terrorism court in Lahore has granted interim bail to former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan till April 4 in three terrorism cases related to vandalism, arson and attack by the PTI workers on police officials in Zaman Park. Imran Khan appeared before the ATC on Saturday. Three cases have been registered against the former prime minister in the Racecourse police station, including the death of PTI member Zille Shah, vandalism and interference in the government, which has anti-terrorism and aiding and abetting provisions.<\/p>\n
Imran Khan was granted protective bail by the High Court in these cases
\nand he was asked to approach the concerned court.<\/p>\n
In the petition filed on Imran Khan\u2019s behalf, it has been stated that
\nthe PTI chairman wants to be involved in the investigation, but there is
\na fear of arrest by the police. The court was requested to prevent his
\narrest. The ATC granted interim bail to Imran Khan in the three cases
\ntill April 4.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the media outside the court, Imran Khan said the government
\nhas turned the whole country into occupied Kashmir by installing
\ncontainers everywhere. He said people will break all barriers and reach
\nthe PTI rally being held on Saturday at Minar-i-Pakistan.<\/p>\n
The PTI chairman further said he will announce the future plan of action
\nin the power show, adding that the government arrested 1600 of PTI
\nworkers to thwart the rally. The more the ruling coalition oppresses,
\nthe more people will come out, said Khan.<\/p>\n
Pertinent to mention here that the Lahore High Court on Friday granted
\nPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan a three-day extension
\nin protective bail till March 27 in five cases registered against him in
\nthe federal capital after he personally appeared before the court.<\/p>\n
The former prime minister arrived at the LHC amid tight security as a
\ntwo-member special bench, comprising Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and
\nJustice Anwaar Hussain heard the plea regarding an extension in the
\nprotective bail.<\/p>\n
Last week, Khan secured protective bail in eight terrorism cases and one
\ncivil case \u2014 a total of nine \u2014 after he appeared before the court in
\nperson. For the five cases in Islamabad, the court granted bail to Khan
\ntill March 24 and for the three cases in Lahore, he received bail for 10
\ndays (March 27).<\/p>\n
Yesterday, Khan did not file bail petitions in five new cases registered
\nin Ramna, Khanna, and Bhara Kaho police stations of Islamabad under
