According to the police sources, four dacoits were shot dead by their accomplices during a police encounter in the jurisdiction of Hujra Shah Muqeem police near Ram Parshad bridge, Okara.<br \/>\nSeven dacoits were robbing people of valuables on Ram Parshad bridge when a police team arrived. On seeing the police, the accused opened indiscriminate fire.<br \/>\nThe police fired back in retaliation. When the firing stopped, the police found four dacoits dead. They had been shot dead by their three accomplices who had managed their escape good.<br \/>\nThe identity of the deceased dacoits was yet to be ascertained. The police recovered illegal weapons and two stolen Honda 125CG motorcycles from the crime scene. Search in the area for the arrest of the fleeing dacoits was underway.<br \/>\nIn Kandhkot, two dacoits were killed while an accomplice of them escaped during a shootout with police near B-Section. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Samo, the dacoits stood on the Indus Highway with the intention of committing a robbery.<br \/>\nThey opened fire on a police team as soon as the latter reached the spot.
