Two members of minority community fall prey to \u2018target killing\u2019 in last 24 hours in Peshawar

\nCaretaker provincial minister for information and public relations Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel has said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government stands with grieved family and is taking pragmatic steps for the protection of Sikh, Hindu and other minority groups.
\nThe caretaker minister expressed these views during his visit to the house of a Christian man who was shot dead by unknown assailants here on Saturday.
\nAccording to police, the victim, Kashif Masih was an employee in Town 3 office and the assailants targeted him near Academy Town when he was on his way home.
\nTalking to the heirs of the deceased, provincial minister said the provincial government would extend full cooperation to the bereaved family, adding that investigation underway and killers of the Kashif would be soon brought to justice.
\nBishop Humphrey Sarfraz Peter, the leader of the Christian community, was also present on this occasion.
\n\u201cI have come here on the special instructions of the caretaker chief minister and the provincial government would not tolerate such inhuman killing of the minority group\u2019s members in the province,\u201d Kakakhel added.
\nHe said that there is no room for such heinous acts in a civilized society, the protection of minorities is the responsibility of all of us and the provincial government will provide all possible help to the family members.
\nIt is pertinent to mention here that the killing of Kashif Massih was the second attack targeting religious minorities in Peshawar in the last 24 hours.
