\nIn effort to provide maximum opportunity for differently abled persons in medical field, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has issued instructions to Khyber Medical University to increase special seats for disabled children in medical and dental colleges of the province.
\nAccording to a statement, the Vice Chancellor of Khyber Medical University after the Governor directives has increased the quota for differently abled persons in all colleges and institutes affiliated with the university.
\nIn addition to the already existing reserved seats, more special seats have been created for admission to all health academic professional programs including Nursing, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences and Pharma D.
\nNo fees will be charged for admission to Medical\/Dental Colleges on open merit or reserved seat from children with disabilities on the direction of the Governor. In this regard, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali said that he wants to see special and disabled children advance in the field of education.
\nDisabled and special children will be able to get medical education from the reserved seats in medical and dental colleges and the expenses in terms of fees will be reduced.
\n The governor said that it is his sincere wish that special and disabled children should not be left behind in any educational field, including medical, and that disabled children should not feel deprived in any field of life.
\nGhulam Ali has said that disabled and special children not only deserve all the joys of life, but it is also the common responsibility of all of us to provide them with high status and facilities in the society.
\nThe governor said that they are providing facilities in every field including the welfare of disabled and special people, provision of facilities in the field of education so that the disabled and special people can play their full role in the development of the society by using their abilities and skills.
\nVC Khyber Medical University Prof Dr Ziaul Haq and his team expressed his hope that the university will provide all possible medical education facilities to disabled students.
