\nChairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah lauded the views of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir during an in-camera session of the National Assembly (NA).
\nAccording to a statement here on Saturday, Shah threw a heavy weight behind the remarks of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir, in which he raised the slogan of \u201cHamara Pakistan\u201d against the \u201cNaya Pakistan\u201d and \u201cPurana Pakistan\u201d.
\nThe ATP chief highly praised the COAS General Asim Munir\u2019s thoughts and termed it \u2018very welcoming\u2019.
\n\u201cThe army chief\u2019s comments on the parliament and the Constitution are of extreme importance as people run the institutions,\u201d the minister added.
\nYesterday, the military chief Gen Asim Munir delivered the concluding speech in the National Security Council (NSC) In-Camera session at the Parliament and said the centre of gravity of the state of Pakistan is the people, while the manifestation of the opinion of the people is the Constitution and the Parliament.
\nFaiq said it is a dire need of the hour to make collective efforts for political stability, economic prosperity and development in the country.
\nThe party chief while talking about debate during an in-camera session slammed parliamentarians and political leaders\u2019 hard-hitting\u2019 speeches against the judiciary.
\nHe said the role of the judiciary and other institutions is highly deplorable.
\nShah condemned the rising confrontation and rift between state institutions.
\nHowever, he fully supported the government initiatives to strengthen the institutions.
\nThe party leader called for institutional harmony, political dialogue for rule of law and stability. Commenting on the woes of inflation-stricken masses, Shah stressed that government machinery and administration should activate for public welfare.
\nThe ATP chairman said the current system has failed to provide relief to masses as entire machinery is deliberately made redundant and non-functional.
\nHe added people have been highly frustrated from the performance of the incumbent government and ready to rise up against the present oppressive system.
\nShah went on to say that political capitalism is being nurtured in Pakistan in which the economic and political elite cooperate for their mutual benefit.
\nThe party leader called for the formation of a policy board from Union Councils to central level wherein representation of all segments should be ensured.
