\nGovernor Haji Ghulam Ali has said that the people of the merged areas have made unprecedented sacrifices for peace and stability.
\nAn official handout said the Governor Haji Ghulam Ali was talking to a 38 member\u2019s delegation of different tribes from tribal district Kurram.
\nAdviser to the caretaker Chief Minister for education Rehmat Salam Khattak, Chief Secretary (CS) Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Secretary Home Abid Majeed and Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Ikramullah were also present on the occasion.
\nFederal Minister of Overseas Pakistani Sajid Hussain Turi was also in attendance. On this occasion the problems faced by the people of the erstwhile Fata, especially the matters pertaining to land disputes in Kurram district were discussed.
\nThe delegation apprised the Governor about the problems and difficulties faced by the people of the tribal region. The delegation demanded the formation of a provincial government commission to ensure the implementation of decisions made in different periods for the resolution of land disputes in the district.
\nThe participants demanded the repair of the main highway to Parachinar, the improvement of the district headquarters hospital, the shortage of doctors and the provision of treatment facilities.
\nHaji Ghulam Ali assured the delegation that the federal and provincial governments were taking all possible steps to improve the environment of the tribal districts and initiate public welfare oriented projects.
\nThe government was committed to improving the law and order situation in the areas, he added and said that the zealous people of the merged districts were very respectful and loyal to the state.
\n He said that all possible steps will be taken to solve the problems of the people of Kurram district.
\n Separately, a 15-member delegation headed by Maulana Arif Haqqani from Mohmand District and Mayor Hafiz Taj Wali of Upper Mohmand Tehsil and a 5-member delegation from Dera Ismail Khan headed by Chaudhry Asghar also met the KP Governor at Governor House.
