Does not expect too much from govt-PTI talks

\nFormer Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday said government held negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) twice in the past and both times PTI held it \u2018bad intentions\u2019.
\nHe accused National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for making fake cases against people. He asked courts to install camera for live streaming of case hearing so people could know real story of so-called corruption cases.
\nReferring to LNG reference against him said, 13 people have been wandering around the courts for last three years. \u201cNAB chairman has been changed but I would suggest reading the law,\u201d he added.
\n\u201cI have repeatedly told the prime minister to get rid of the NAB, otherwise it will uproot the country,\u201d he said. \u201cThe matters won\u2019t move to correction if the system not initiated from beginning,\u201d Abbasi opined. He said the NAB should wind up fake cases, \u201cPeople are running to courts in these cases from three to 13 years and their lives have paralyzed.\u201d
\nHe said there was no example of more corruption than the graft occurred during the rule of Imran Khan. \u201cFake cases should be ended for good, in view of such cases investors avoiding investment in the country,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cThe National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should also submit the account of its 24 years performance,\u201d he said. The NAB has failed to capture single politician for corruption, he said. Former premier asked courts to take suo-motu notice on the so-called drama of NAB as people have been languishing in jails for 15 years.
\nAbbasi said Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should be prepared for elections regardless any other party was ready or not. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that holding elections is upon the Election Commission of Pakistan and not on the PML-N.
\n \u201cWhether the PML-N is prepared or not, conducting polls is the election commission\u2019s responsibility,\u201d talking to media Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said. \u201cThe party which wants to participate will take it,\u201d Abbasi added. He said conducting elections is not the job of PML-N.
\nHe also said that the benefit of 25 percent of the money allocated by the prime minister for free flour could not reach to the people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
