PTI downslide continues

\nAnother two diehard leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf have turned their back on the party while also announcing quitting politics.
\nAn important PTI wicket has fallen as party\u2019s Sindh President Ali Zaidi has announced to quit politics. The PTI leader from Sindh proclaimed in a video message on Saturday that he was parting ways with the party, saying that the Pakistan Army was our pride.
\nHe said: \u201cI condemn the May 9 violence. What happened wasn\u2019t right. I resign from the post of PTI Sindh president. I have always served Pakistan.\u201d The former federal minister said that after a lot of thinking he took the \u201cdifficult decision\u201d of leaving politics. He said when he would leave the politics he would also resign from the party position and resign as an MNA.
\nHe, however, expressed his resolve to serve Pakistan. He said he used to work for the betterment of Pakistan before and would bring investment to the country. \u201cNow I Will again do the same business of export. I quit politics. I have nothing to do with politics. Pakistan Army Zindabad. Pakistan Zindabad,\u201d he concluded.
\nAnother Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former federal minister Khusro Bakhtyar has announced to quit the PTI.
\nIn a video message on Saturday, Khusro Bakhtyar said that a year ago he had told the top and frontline leadership of the party that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf\u2019s new political plan of confrontation with state institutions would be harmful for the party.
\nBakhtyar said that due to this policy of the PTI, he distanced himself from the PTI politics. \u201cI have also distanced myself from the membership of the core committee and the presidentship of the South Punjab,\u201d he added.
\nMeanwhile, Former Sindh governor Imran Ismail quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and also resigned from all party posts.
\nHe made this announcement while addressing a press conference. He was a founding member of the PTI and said the party wanted to work for the betterment of the country.
\nHe said the PTI was given a chance to rule over the country in 2018 elections and it tried to improve the situation. \u201cAfter Imran Khan was dethroned, the PTI again started to make efforts to come back in power again and a narrative was developed that the PTI was against the Establishment,\u201d Mr Ismail highlighted.
\nHe said Imran Khan was arrested and suddenly violent protests erupted in the country and on May 9, the Jinnah House was attacked by the rioters. He said those who were involved in the attacks should be punished. \u201cA soldier gives his life for the country because he knows his countrymen
\nPTI former MNA Shahukat Ali quits party
\nPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from Peshawar Shahukat Ali on Saturday also jumped ship by resigning from the party.
\nLike other PTI deserters, he also announced to distance himself from the party over the May 9 violent protests across the country.
\nAli made the announcement while addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club (PPC). After hiding for more than two weeks to avoid arrest, he said that it was not possible for many to associate with PTI, announcing resignation from the advisory committee, core membership and positions in the party.
\n\u201cI have decided to announce my resignation from the advisory committee, core membership and all positions,\u201d Shaukat Ali added and said that he would also return the party ticket awarded to him for the by-election for the seat of Peshawar.
\nFormer PTI MAN also strongly condemned attacks on government and armed forces installations and creating law and order situation across the country following the arrest of Imran Khan in an alleged corruption case in Islamabad on 9th May.
\nHe said that incidents that occurred soon after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran were against the norms of democracy, adding that all democratic forces and persons would never attempt to cause chaos and set ablaze government and private buildings over an arrest of their leaders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
