Says IK \u2018mastermind\u2019 of May 9 violence

\nPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that elections will be held in the country upon the arrival of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
\nAddressing a press conference in Faisalabad on Wednesday, Talal Chaudhry made it clear that the PML-N supremo will lead the party\u2019s election campaign. In connection with the May 9 mayhem, Mr Chaudhry made it clear that the culprits should be brought to justice.
\n\u201cNo one will be given NRO under pressure. Many people are joining different parties. However, the PML-N\u2019s bus is already full. We already have many prominent politicians and candidates in every constituency of Punjab,\u201d Mr Chaudhry maintained.
\nHe asserted, \u201cThe events that took place on May 9 did not happen in a day. But planning for the May 9 vandalism has been years in the making. The case of May 9 riots is a test for the state.\u201d
\nHe said Imran Khan was the main \u201carchitect\u201d of the May 9 incidents in which military and state installations were attacked by his party workers following his arrest in a corruption case. \u201cThis is a test case of the state, if there is no punishment, no one will be safe in the country,\u201d Talal Chaudhary added.
\nHe claimed that PTI activists attacked the sensitive buildings at the call and back of Imran Khan. The PML-N leader said that PTI workers and supporters crushed Pakistan on May 9. \u201cNow, propaganda is being done against the institutions to save the miscreants involved in the May 9 incidents,\u201d he hinted.
\nEven, women are being used as shields, Chaudhary hinted. The former state minister regretted that the people were brainwashed and trained for the events of May 9. \u201cIf those who attacked the judicial complex were punished, the tragedy of May 9 would not have happened,\u201d Talal bemoaned.
\nTaking a dig at Imran Khan, he said the PTI chairman has been granted bail in more than a dozen cases. On Tuesday, PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz held a meeting with Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins to discuss matters of mutual interest.
\nDuring the meeting, Ms Nawaz expressed her gratitude to Australia for its humanitarian assistance to Pakistan during the COVID-19 pandemic. She acknowledged the valuable support provided by Australia and emphasized the importance of the historic partnership between the two countries.
\nMaryam Nawaz specifically highlighted Australia\u2019s significant role in the education of Pakistani students and stressed the need for further collaboration in sectors such as education, culture, trade, and investment.
\nIn response, Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins congratulated Maryam Nawaz on her party post within the PML-N. He commended her on her new role and expressed his optimism for a productive collaboration between Pakistan and Australia.
\nMaryam Nawaz underscored the potential of bilateral trade to enhance the relationship between Pakistan and Australia. She highlighted that increased trade ties could lead to stronger bonds between the two nations.
\nAdditionally, Maryam Nawaz proposed exploring joint activities in sports, particularly cricket, as a means to foster a favorable environment for the youth.
