A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court led by Justice Shahbaz Rizvi issued the directives in response to a petition of Khadijah Shah\u2019s father and former finance minister Salman Shah and husband Jahanzeb Amin. During the course of proceedings, SSP (Investigation) Dr Anoosh Masood appeared before the bench and submitted a reply in the matter. The court was apprised that the suspect was not presented for an extension of physical remand to which the bench observed, \u201cHow will a remand be granted in this situation?\u201d. The court expressed displeasure over not presenting Khadijah Shah in the court and inquired as to why she was not presented. It pointed out that the court order of May 31 was clear. However, the SSP could not give a satisfactory reply to the court, it has been reported. It is pertinent to mention that petitioners have challenged the move of not producing Khadijah Shah, and sought her release.
