{"id":335043,"date":"2023-06-03T09:11:52","date_gmt":"2023-06-03T04:11:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=335043"},"modified":"2023-06-03T09:11:52","modified_gmt":"2023-06-03T04:11:52","slug":"imran-khan-to-file-rs-15b-defamation-suit-against-chairman-nab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/imran-khan-to-file-rs-15b-defamation-suit-against-chairman-nab\/","title":{"rendered":"Imran Khan to file Rs 15b defamation suit against chairman NAB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Says arrest warrant kept in secrecy for 8 days<br \/>\nISLAMABAD<br \/>\nPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has filed a Rs 15 billion defamation suit, against Chairman NAB and served him legal notice for issuing my arrest warrant on a public holiday and keeping in secrecy for eight days.<br \/>\nPTI Chairman said that he was unlawfully detained from Islamabad High Court\u2019s premises with the ulterior motive to defame him and showed the world that he was arrested on corruption charges.<br \/>\nImran Khan pleaded: \u201cMy arrest warrant was issued on a public holiday and was kept in secrecy for eight days and I was not informed about conversion of Al-Qadir Trust Case Inquiry into Investigation.\u201d<br \/>\nHe stated that the conditions stipulated in Sec 24 of NAB Ordinance were disregarded, adding that Supreme Court held that manner and execution of his arrest warrant was unlawful and unconstitutional, as Pakistan Rangers was used which subjected him to brute force to execute arrest warrant.<br \/>\nPTI Chairman stated the sole purpose to arrest in such way to tarnish his image globally because he was collecting Rs 10 billion in charity annually.<br \/>\nImran Khan vowed: \u201cMy credibility has never been questioned.
