Taking to Twitter, the law enforcement agency termed the \u2018viral photos and videos\u2019 of May 9 events \u2018false\u2019, saying that the visuals that were shared on social media are old. \u201cThe pictures of incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Sindh were linked to May 9 events,\u201d Punjab police said, adding that the \u2018negative campaign\u2019 was launched to \u201cmislead the citizens and defame the institution\u201d. The police claimed that action will be taken against the \u201cpreparators of false propaganda\u201d under Cyber Crime Act. \u201cMiscreants involved in defaming national institutions will be brought to justice\u201d, they added.
