\nThe representatives of Solidarity International and Handicap International, both are humanitarian organizations, on Tuesday visited the office of Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Department.
\nThe delegation was led by Miss Kathleen, Country Director of Solidarity International.
\nThe primary focus of the meeting was to identify existing gaps in relief activities at the provincial level and explore ways in which donor organizations can effectively contribute to addressing these gaps.
\nDuring the meeting, representatives from both organizations engaged in extensive discussions regarding the ongoing activities and challenges faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nThey emphasized the paramount importance of mutual cooperation and support as critical factors in effectively addressing the pressing issues faced by the province.
\nAdditionally, they explored strategies aimed at strengthening collaboration and ensuring the efficient implementation of various initiatives.
\nAbdul Basit highlighted the significance of preparedness and mitigation measures. He emphasized the importance of enhancing early warning systems and other related initiatives to effectively respond to emergencies.
\nKathleen shared that their organization will start working in the agricultural, livelihoods and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) sectors in Nowshera.
\nThey are striving to provide improved access to WASH facilities and support. She further stated, \u201cWe can target the most vulnerable districts and provide assistance to the public in those areas.\u201d
\nThis meeting served as an invaluable platform for constructive dialogue and the exchange of ideas, fostering a stronger partnership between the government and Solidarity International.
