{"id":339159,"date":"2023-06-22T00:20:40","date_gmt":"2023-06-21T19:20:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=339159"},"modified":"2023-06-22T00:20:40","modified_gmt":"2023-06-21T19:20:40","slug":"sarwar-khan-son-nephew-arrested-in-islamabad-raid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/sarwar-khan-son-nephew-arrested-in-islamabad-raid\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarwar Khan, son, nephew arrested in Islamabad raid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> ISLAMABAD<br \/>\nTaxila police have arrested former federal minister and Senior PTI Vice-President (VP) Ghulam Sarwar Khan, his son former member of the National Assembly (MNA) Mansoor Hayat Khan and his nephew former member of the Punjab Assembly (MPA) Ammar Siddique Khan for their involvement in May 9 incidents.<br \/>\nThe suspects, wanted to the Punjab Police in connection with four cases and Islamabad Police in connection with three cases, will be produced in a court in Taxila Wednesday.<br \/>\nThey are also wanted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).<br \/>\nSources in police informed that Ghulam Sarwar Khan, his son Mansoor Hayat Khan and nephew Ammar Siddiqui Khan were taken into custody from his friend\u2019s house in Islamabad\u2019s F-8 Sector.<br \/>\nPolice and elite force personnel launched a joint raid to arrest the former aviation minister.<br \/>\nThe PTI leader along with his son and nephew were wanted by the police in May 9 riots case and attack on Islamabad\u2019s Judicial Complex, the police said and added cases against the accused are registered in Islamabad, Taxila and Rawalpindi.<br \/>\nIt may be noted that the police had been conducting raids in Taxila for the past month to arrest Ghulam Sarwar Khan and had also sealed his offices and petrol pump in Taxila. The PTI leader was finally nabbed when he went to F8 for a meeting.<br \/>\nViolent clashes broke out across the country after PTI Chairman Imran Khan was arrested from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
