\nAmun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah condemned the cowardly terrorist attack in Shirani, Balochistan.
\nShah in a statement on Tuesday complimented the security forces for maintaining the law and order situation in the country.
\n\u201cCondolences to their bereaved families and prayers for the departed souls.\u201d
\nHe said peace was restored owing to unmatched sacrifices of security forces.
\nTalking about the prevailing political scenario during a meeting of the party\u2019s executive committee, he said timely elections are imperative for bringing political and economic stability in the country.
\nHe called for bringing electoral reforms before conduct of the next general elections in order to block the way of horse-trading, rigging and use of pressure tactics in elections.
\nFaiq continued to say those reaching the lower house of the parliament on the basis of wealth would be easy prey for the enemies of the state, and the sanctity of the constitutional institutions would be destroyed beyond recovery.
\nHe emphasized political parties should be consulted to ensure holding of general elections in an transparent, impartial and fair manner.
\nHe also asked to provide a level playing field for all political forces and a congenial atmosphere in the elections.
\nThe party chief called upon all political parties to devise jointly a roadmap to pave the way for holding transparent polls.
\nHe also urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to take all measures to ensure fair elections to not raise the \u2018hue and cry\u2019 of corruption, rigging and use of wealth.
\nShah was of the view that the country cannot be decided by holding meetings in London and Dubai.
\nHe said people cannot be deceived anymore with hollow slogans.
\nThe ATP chairman asked the people to reject corrupt and opportunists\u2019 candidates through the power of their ballot and elect patriotic and honest people to help rebuild the nation.
