KARACHI
\nQaisar Shams Ghucha, Chairman, Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association (PYMA), has emphasized the importance of political stability for economic growth.
\nHe stated that Pakistan should take measures to control fluctuations in the value of the dollar, and both exporters and industries should be granted subsidies in energy.
\nGhucha made these remarks during his visit to the central secretariat in Karachi, where he attended a meeting of the PYMA executive committee to discuss various significant issues faced by its members.
\nSohail Nisar, Sr. Vice Chairman, Javed Khanani, Vice Chairman PYMA, M. Usman, Khurshid A. Shaikh, Saqib Goodluck, Salim Adaya, Junaid Teli, Khurrum Bharara, Mumtaz ul Haq, Ashraf A. Sattar and Waheed also attended the meeting.
\nThe PYMA chairman urged the need for government departments to take responsibility for implementing policy measures and initiatives for the general public, while also highlighting the need for improvement in their performance.
\n\u201cGhucha suggested that the government should facilitate the provision of solar panels under favorable conditions to meet the country\u2019s power demands, thereby stabilizing the agriculture sector.\u201d
\nHe also urged the government to provide support and facilities to the small & medium enterprise (SMEs) sector and power looms.
\nGhucha expressed concern over the issuance of illegal notices by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to industries, resulting in large-scale industry closures. He emphasized the urgent need for steps to improve the situation.
\nFurthermore, the PYMA Chairman commended the efforts made by Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Gen. Asim Munir to revive the economy, expressing his belief that these measures would lead to progress.
\nHe predicted an increase in exports and foreign exchange deposits, which would have a positive impact on the general public.
