Short fall of electricity has been recorded as 6188 megawatts. According to power division, the overall production of electricity is 21312 megawatts, while 27500 megawatts electricity is required across country. The production of hydroelectricity is 8800 megawatts. Government thermal power plants are generating 850 megawatts of electricity. The production of electricity in private sector power plants is 8833 megawatts. The production of electricity by wind power plants is 208 megawatts.
