\nFormer prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has hinted at to stay away from next elections. \u201cI don\u2019t want to be a part of such system, perhaps I will work better to remain outside of it,\u201d Abbasi said.
\n\u201cIt is my personal assessment that currently politics won\u2019t resolve national issues,\u201d he said. \u201cThis reality seems to me, at least my contesting election won\u2019t bring any solution,\u201d PML-N leader told a private television channel Monday.
\n\u201cI would not contest election if all stakeholders will not sit together,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat I will do by contesting election, in absence of a thinking to resolve the national problems,\u201d he questioned. On a question, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that no party can be fragmented, such experiments in the past were resulted in failure, \u201cWe must learn lesson from the past experiments,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cYou made the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), orchestrated People\u2019s Party-Patriot and PML-Q, which saw failures. Those who made parties not being sighted now, neither those who were part of it. They are not being honoured, nor they had provided anything to the country,\u201d Abbasi said.
\n\u201cIstehkam Party claims to bring Istehkam (stability),\u201d he said. \u201cHistory teaches us, those who stand in difficulties are better placed,\u201d former PM said. \u201cThe politics has not become complicated, but it has become aimless,\u201d Abbasi said on a question.
\n\u201cThe politics to break this one and make that one bears no fruit; we did this politics for last 75 years. So-called accountability institutions were being used for some other political objectives. Buzdar had a corrupt government, if anyone had asked Buzdar over it,\u201d Abbasi asked. \u201cThere are two options, either do a press conference or face the accountability. If Buzdar will be pardoned than everyone can be absolved,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cWe did several such experiments in the part, now we must learn the lesson,\u201d PML-N leader said. \u201cWe must learn the lesson from Year 2018 elections, what results these cheated elections given us,\u201d Abbasi said. \u201cIf the elections will be cheated again, it won\u2019t have a positive impact over the country,\u201d he warned.
\nOn a question about Nawaz Sharif\u2019s return to Pakistan, PML-N leader said, \u201cThis is Javed Latif\u2019s department, contact him\u201d. \u201cI also used to ask Javed Sahib about the date of Nawaz Sharif\u2019s return,\u201d he said. \u201cThis department was remained with Ayaz Sadiq for some time, but now Javed Latif fully holding the charge\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
