\nAwami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday underscored the need for a stable democracy in the country to avert economic crisis.
\nIn a tweet, the former interior minister said the Supreme Court was going to hear three important cases that could change the course of Pakistan\u2019s politics and prove a hindrance for new political experiments in the country.
\nHe further stated that clouds of uncertainty would continue to hover over elections until the assemblies were dissolved, caretaker government was installed and the Election Commission of Pakistan announced the date for polls.
\nTaking a jibe at the ruling coalition, he said those who used to punish each other had joined hands to remove their corruption cases. \u201cThe way caretaker governments were formed in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, elections were held in Karachi and the way games were played in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, all of these are thought-provoking incidents,\u201d he said. He said it was Pakistan\u2019s youth who would take decision in the upcoming elections, adding that they would not allow any rigging in this process. He said the rulers were incognisant of the level of passion and enthusiasm the youth had for elections. He also slammed the government for the laptop scheme, saying it would not work when prices of flour, sugar and electricity continued to skyrocket.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
