\nFor the ordinary consumer, the cost of electricity has become a significant part of their monthly budget. With the new tariff hike, the burden on already strained household finances will escalate. For the vulnerable and lower-income segments of society, the impact will be particularly harsh, as they may be forced to make difficult choices between basic necessities.
\nMoreover, the industrial and commercial sectors, already grappling with an unfriendly business environment, will face yet another setback. Higher energy costs will lead to an increase in production costs, making Pakistani goods less competitive in the global market. This, in turn, can potentially hamper economic growth and job creation, further exacerbating the country\u2019s economic woes.
