{"id":345691,"date":"2023-07-27T00:50:54","date_gmt":"2023-07-26T19:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=345691"},"modified":"2023-07-27T00:50:54","modified_gmt":"2023-07-26T19:50:54","slug":"book-reading-club-can-play-the-best-role-to-increase-the-educational-quality-commissioner-mardan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/book-reading-club-can-play-the-best-role-to-increase-the-educational-quality-commissioner-mardan\/","title":{"rendered":"Book reading club can play the best role to increase the educational quality: Commissioner Mardan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Mardan<br \/>\nCommissioner Mardan Division Yousaf Rahim has said that a number of activities are being organized from the platform of Reading Club to restore the broken connection of students with books, which are showing positive results.<br \/>\nHe was addressing a special function organized by the Reading Club at his office on the occasion of distribution of cash prizes to the position holders of the spelling bee competitions held the other day.<br \/>\nAdditional Commissioner Mardan Naeem Akhtar Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Engineer Shahzeb, Reading Club Focal Person Assistant Commissioner Mardan Ayesha Tahir, AAC Khola Haqdar, students, teachers and parents participated in the ceremony.<br \/>\nCommissioner Mardan said that there are more than 37,000 books on various topics in the Mardan Public Library and new books on modern sciences and arts are being added to this library while efforts are underway for keeping the public libraries of Mardan and Swabi open for readers for expanded hours.<br \/>\nHe said that in order to further expand the activities of the Reading Club, work is also underway to develop it on an institutional basis.<br \/>\nCommissioner Mardan Yousaf Rahim said that in the first phase reading club has been organized in five boys and five girls schools of Mardan and soon it is being implemented in more schools in urban and rural areas so that in this age of social media and mobile phones we may be able to re-establish the relationship of students with books. He appreciated the role of the parents, teachers, Distt Youth Office, administrative officers and the participating students in the spelling bee competitions. Later, Commissioner Mardan awarded Rs 30,000 in cash to Mohammad Ehtesham, a student of Sudham Children\u2019s Academy Rustom, who won the first position.<br \/>\nNawal, a student of Iqra Montessori School, Sawaldhir, who won the first runner up position, was given a cash prize of Rs. 20000 and Ummi Salma of Cadet College Mardan got a cash prize of RS.10000 for bagging second runner up position in the competition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mardan Commissioner Mardan Division Yousaf Rahim has said that a number of activities are being organized from the platform of Reading Club to restore the broken connection of students with books, which are showing positive results.
