\nAmun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah emphasized that a neutral caretaker government should be formed to ensure fair and transparent polls.
\nChairing a meeting of the party\u2019s central executive committee here on Monday, Shah said the name for caretaker prime minister\u2019s position should be finalized with due consensus of all political parties and stakeholders.
\nHe stressed it is imperative to form an impartial interim set up to not raise questions on impartiality of the general elections.
\nIf the interim government would manage to resolve the public\u2019s issues so there will be no issue to extend its tenure, he added.
\n \u201cThe sole purpose of the caretaker government would be maintaining law and order and assisting the election commission to hold free and fair elections,\u201d according to political experts and think tankers.
\nIt is noted here that the five-year tenure of Pakistan\u2019s National Assembly, the lower house of the parliament, will expire on August 12 next.
\nInstead of following its commitments, the party chief said the outgoing coalition government has not spared any moment and day to add to the miseries of the poor masses.
\nFaiq stressed that the caretaker government must focus on the growing tension and problems of the inflation-stricken people.
\nHe said hegemonic and totalitarian regimes and a cruel system have usurped rights of the poor segment of the society.
\nThe country stands in the same position where it was after 75 years ago, shah remarks while few days are away to celebrate Pakistan its 76th Independence Day.<\/p>\n
He said the dream to make Pakistan a real Islamic Welfare State can come only true when people will get due rights, powers, justice and facilities.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will build Pakistan which was dreamt by the father of the nation, Quaid E Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and thinker of the country, Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal\u201d,<\/p>\n
He said his party is carrying out a vigorous campaign to provide justice, powers and authorities to people at their doorstep.<\/p>\n
