9 ministers, 2 advisors and a special assistant are part of the new interim cabinet

\nNominated members of cabinet of the caretaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government took oath of office at the Governor House Peshawar on Saturday.
\nWitnessed by KP Caretaker Chief Minister Mohammad Azam Khan, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali administered the oath of office to the newly nominated members.
\nAccording to an officials statement, the caretaker ministers who took the oath today include Justice (retd) Irshad Qaiser, former inspector general of Police (IGP) Syed Masood Shah, Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel, Ahmad Rasool Bangash, Asif Rafiq, Dr Najeebullah, Dr Mohammad Qasim Jan, retired Justice Arshad Hussain Shah and Syed Aamir Abdullah.
\nThe advisors members of the interim cabinet include: Dr Riaz Anwarand Dr Sarfaraz Ali Shah, while Zafarullah Khan will be a special assistant to the caretaker KP CM. The second interim cabinet of KP formed after hectic deliberations after 19 members of the previous interim setup tendered their resignations.
\nIn the newly installed interim cabinet of the province, Masud Shah, Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel , retired Justice Qaiser and Dr Anwar were part of the last caretaker cabinet as well.
\nIt is pertinent to mention KP\u2019s new 12-members interim cabinet, comprising nine ministers, two advisors and a special assistant.
\nWhile The official\u2019s notification for the cabinet issued earlier a day and oath taking ceremony also held today, the portfolios of the ministers, advisors and an assistant will be announced in the next couple of days.
\nOn This occasion, provincial Governor Haji Ghulam Ali and caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan felicitated caretaker cabinet members and hoped they would utilize their energies for the development and prosperity of the province.
\nKP is being run by interim setup since January 2023, when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the dissolution of their governments in KP and Punjab to pave the way for the fresh polls.
\nThe First interim cabinet of the province was appointed on January 26 this year.However, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) owing to political association of the cabinet members directed the KP caretaker CM Azam Khan to de-notify ministers,advisors, and special assistants.
\n Subsequently,on August 11, 14 ministers, 11 advisors, and special assistants resigned from the cabinet and paved the way for the second interim setup in the province.
\nAs per details, the new interim cabinet members have been appointed on the basis of their expertise in the fields of education, science, management and administration.
\nJustice (retd) Irshad Qaiser, who served in the first interim cabinet as well, is the only woman in the cabinet. Under the constitution, a caretaker government in the centre or province should be appointed to provide a neutral administration for holding the elections in a fair and transparent manner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
