While addressing a press conference with IPP leaders including Jahangir Khan Tareen, he said that he had no knowledge of the May 9 plan.<br \/>\n\u201cI condemn the May 9 incidents. What happened on May 9 should not have happened. The May 9 events left a deep impact on the country,\u201d he stated. \u201cInstitutions and government should be on the same page,\u201d he stressed.<br \/>\nOn the occasion, IPP leader Jahangir Khan Tareen said that elections should be held according to the new census. \u201cThe decision of holding elections has to be taken by the election commission. I don\u2019t think the elections will go beyond March,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nHe also welcomed Samsam Bukhari into the party fold, stating too many people will join the IPP that a jumbo jet will have to be bought. He also expressed resentment at President Arif Alvi\u2019s statement regarding the Army Amendment Act and the Official Secret Act. \u201cThe caretaker information minister has given a clear statement on it,\u201d he said. I am very saddened by the statement of President Arif Alvi. The IPP has been established for the supremacy of the constitution,\u201d he added.
