The Sehat Card has successfully registered over 9.78 million families across the country, providing them with access to 1,100 hospitals, including 193 in KP. \nHowever, the challenges faced by the KP government in maintaining this program have been exacerbated by financial difficulties and the interim setup that has been in place since January 2023. The commitment to this initiative, launched by the previous government, has been mired in uncertainty, leading to delays in payments for medical treatments and periodic interruptions in services.
\nIt is crucial for all stakeholders, including the federal and provincial governments, SLIC and healthcare facilities to work together to ensure the uninterrupted provision of healthcare services to the people of KP. The Sehat Card Plus program should not be subjected to political fluctuations, as it directly impacts the well-being of millions of citizens.
