{"id":355326,"date":"2023-09-12T09:33:19","date_gmt":"2023-09-12T04:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=355326"},"modified":"2023-09-12T09:49:37","modified_gmt":"2023-09-12T04:49:37","slug":"kpogcl-asked-to-take-steps-for-promotion-uplift-of-oil-gas-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/kpogcl-asked-to-take-steps-for-promotion-uplift-of-oil-gas-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"KPOGCL asked to take steps for promotion, uplift of Oil &#038; Gas sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> PESHAWAR<br \/>\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Energy &#038; Power and Mineral Development, Engineer Ahmad Jan Khan has directed the authorities of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil and Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL) to take practical steps for the promotion and development of natural resources of oil and gas in the province.<br \/>\nHe issued these directives while presiding over the first introductory meeting regarding Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil and Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL) in the committee room of the Department of Energy and Power here on Monday.<br \/>\nBesides, Secretary Energy and Power, Zulfiqar Ali Shah, the top officials of the company also attended the meeting.<br \/>\nDuring the meeting, the caretaker minister was given a detailed briefing on the goals, performance, future goals and challenges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil and Gas Company Limited, a company established for the discovery of oil and gas reserves in the province and its promotion.<br \/>\nThe Caretaker Minister was told that the company was established in 2013 with the aim of promoting the exploration and production of oil and gas at the provincial level in the province. The company is carrying out Oil and gas exploration activities at many places of the province.<br \/>\nThe Caretaker Minister was informed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has vast potential of valuable natural oil and gas and currently the daily production of oil in the whole country is about 71000 barrels, out of which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is producing about 31000 barrels of oil per day.<br \/>\nIt was further informed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also produces 13% of the total gas production of the country while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is providing 41% of the total production in LPG.<br \/>\nOn this occasion, the caretaker minister directed the company officials to intensify their practical efforts to fully utilize the natural resources of this province, as we can get economic stability through it.<br \/>\nThe caretaker minister said that he believes in hard work and honesty and in capacity as the caretaker minister will support the company in its efforts for the development of the province.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Energy &#038; Power and Mineral Development, Engineer Ahmad Jan Khan has directed the authorities of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil and Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL) to take practical steps for the promotion and development of natural resources of oil and gas in the province.
