\nThe Department of Religious Affairs and Minorities\u2019 Welfare government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is taking a commendable initiative to aid the affected residents of Jaranwala to promote interfaith harmony in the country.
\nThe KP government has dispatched 9 trucks loaded with relief supplies to assist the affected population, as announced by Dr. Asad Ali Khan, Secretary of Religious Affairs.
\nIn a heartening move, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also extended its support to the Christian community residing in Punjab by sending relief aid.
\nThe relief supplies, as stated by Dr. Asad Ali Khan, include foam mattresses, blankets, emergency searchlights, and kitchen sets. Additionally, the aid package comprises first-aid kits, health hygiene kits, buckets, and mosquito nets, among other essential items would be distributed among 600 families.
\nA delegation, consisting of Chief Khateeb KP, prominent religious scholars and leaders from Muslim, Christian, Sikh, and Hindu communities, is accompanying the relief aid to ensure that the affected minority communities receive support.
\nDr. Asad Ali Khan emphasized that the Department of Religious Affairs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stands in solidarity with the affected residents of Jaranwala.
\nHe said that the government is actively working to provide equal rights and opportunities to minority communities in the province.
\nVarious religious ceremonies and programs for minority communities are also being organized at the government level.
\n\u201cWe are mobilizing all available resources to promote religious harmony,\u201d said Dr. Asad Ali Khan, highlighting the government\u2019s commitment to fostering interfaith unity and support for all communities in times of need.
\nHe said that Pakistan is actively promoting interfaith harmony and fostering unity among its diverse religious communities.
\nThe government has been taking various initiatives to encourage tolerance, understanding, and cooperation among different faith groups, said Dr Asad.
\nThese efforts aim to ensure equal rights and opportunities for all religious minorities, promote dialogue, and address issues related to religious discrimination.
