The FIR was lodged at the Aabpara Police Station, invoking Section 352 and Section 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Senator Afnan Ullah Khan initiated legal action by sending a formal letter to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Operation Islamabad, Malik Jamil Zaffar, requesting the registration of the FIR against Marwat.
