\nAmun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah urged the government to take proactive steps for reforms to ensure credible, impartial and transparent general elections.
\nTalking to different delegations here at the party\u2019s central office on Saturday, Shah said electoral reforms are crucial before the conduct of the polls, so that no one will raise questions on its credibility, fairness and impartiality.
\nHe called for elimination of use of money, pressure, rigging and corruption in the electoral system.
\n\u201cWe want formation of a joint forum, wherein people should make decisions and planning by their own for prompt resolution issues\u201d,
\nHe vowed ATP will continue to raise voice for public rights and amicable resolution of their issues at every fora.
\nHe also reiterated that his party will fully participate in the upcoming general elections and field its candidates from National and provincial Assembly seats.
\n\u201cWhen law and history will be on the wishes of rulers then how will the nation and society will get progress\u201d?
\nFaiq was of the view that many issues will be resolved through formation of a joint board of wisdom and honesty for which his party has already given a comprehensive plan to government and relevant quarters.
\nThe ATP chief said it is a national dilemma that a person who has stolen billions of rupees had easily escaped and run away from the country.
\n\u201cHow the ordinary citizen\/poor people will bear the lavish spending and extravagances of the rulers by paying multiple taxes\u201d?
\nFaiq vowed they will hold a strict accountability and assessment of public money worth billions of rupees.
\nHe suggested creation of provinces on an administrative basis.
\nHe said justice and services should be delivered at the public doorstep under a concrete network from Union Council and Centre level.
\nShah said rulers are only taking interest in gaining power and returning to parliament instead of resolving public issues wherein they have accomplished their personal desires and interests by political influence.
