\nThe region is experiencing new strategic balance following the Al-Aqsa Storm operation outside Gaza, Head of Hamas\u2019 Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh said.
\nIn a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Monday,Haniyeh said the resistance front has established \u201cnew strategic balance in the region\u201d after the Hamas fighters launched the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on October 7.
\nLauding Iran for supporting the people of Palestine and adopting active Islamic diplomacy to help Gaza which is buckling under the brutal Israeli strikes, Haniyeh denounced the US\u2019 unwavering support for the Zionist regime as a main reason for the continued crimes committed by the \u201cNeo-Nazi\u201d Israeli regime.
\nThe Zionist regime\u2019s barbaric and blind strikes on defenseless civilians in Gaza reveal Israel\u2019s failure in the face of the Palestinian people\u2019s courageous resistance, he added.
\nThe Hamas official also described the severe shortage of medicine in Gaza and the hospital generators running out of fuel as a portent of a major humanitarian catastrophe in the enclave.
\nIn a separate phone call with Amirabdollahian, Leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement Ziyad al-Nakhalah said the morale among the resistance forces is high despite the Israeli massacre of women and children and destruction of houses in Gaza.
\n\u201cWe will vigorously continue to fight against the Zionist regime\u2019s extensive aggression. The enemy won\u2019t be able to shatter the resistance\u2019s determination,\u201d he stated.
\nThe Iranian foreign minister, for his part, reaffirmed the Islamic Republic\u2019s support for the people of Palestine, calling for an immediate end to the Israeli regime\u2019s heinous crimes in Gaza and for the constant delivery of humanitarian aid supplies to the enclave through the Rafah border crossing.
\nAt least 4,651 Palestinians have been killed and more than 14,000 wounded in Israeli attacks since October 7, when Hamas launched a surprise operation outside Gaza.
