\nPunjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has divulged an ambitious plan to revive the province\u2019s healthcare system, promising to elevate the quality of medical services to new heights,
\nAddressing a press conference on Saturday, Mohsin said the upgradation of Mayo Hospital\u2019s emergency department served as a model for the transformation envisioned for all 32 hospitals in the province. \u201cBy January 31, the entire healthcare network is expected to be rejuvenated.\u201d
\nHe acknowledged the commendable state of the primary health sector but highlighted the dire need for improvements in specialized healthcare services, which had long been neglected due to financial constraints.
\nThe CM emphasized that education, healthcare, and inflation are three areas that held the key to providing much-needed relief to the people.
\n\u201cThe government aims to address these challenges with determination and vigor,\u201d he said.
\nHe dispelled the notion that doctors alone bore the responsibility for the healthcare system\u2019s shortcomings. He questioned the capability of doctors to deliver top-notch care without the necessary resources and infrastructure.
\nRecognizing that optimal performance is unattainable without adequate facilities, he underscored the critical need for resource enhancement.
\n\u201cTo redress this imbalance, the government embarked on an ambitious endeavor to revamp Punjab\u2019s healthcare infrastructure,\u201d he said.
\nThe Chief Minister said that the govt is providing all necessary facilities to all hospital management, staff, and doctors of the province. Now, they have a responsibility to treat hospitals as their home,\u201d he added.
\nRecognizing the importance of equipping principals and professors with essential management skills, the government pledged to conduct workshops for administrative training.
\nThe Chief Minister emphasized that doctors do not intentionally misdiagnose patients and stressed that any errors are likely rare, at just 1% of cases.
\nThe Chief Minister also advocated the creation of private practice rooms within hospitals to elevate the standard of care.
\nThe Chief Minister passionately expressed his belief that government hospitals should be the first choice for patients seeking to preserve their lives.
\nHe highlighted the pivotal role of hospital principals and medical superintendents in enhancing hospital conditions and suggested they actively participate in determini<\/p>\n
