\nContinuous visits and vigilant monitoring by Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi have driven four mega infrastructure projects in Lahore towards swift completion.
\nAccording to sources, these projects, aimed at significantly improving traffic flow, are about to open for public use this month, thanks to relentless efforts and strict timelines.
\nThe four major projects including the Bedian Road Underpass and Akbar Chowk Flyover will be accessible to the public shortly.
\nFurthermore, the Shahdara Flyovers and Khalid Butt Chowk Underpass are also in the final stages of construction.
\nThe Akbar Chowk Flyover project is a standout success, being on course to completion in just six months instead of the originally slated 10 months.
\nThis project covers two flyovers, the creation of ten U-turns, and the remodeling of Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, all without the felling of a single tree.
\nConstruction commenced on May 26, with a contractual completion date of March 25 next year.
\nThe Shahdara Flyover, initially planned for a 10-month timeframe, is nearing completion in just seven and a half months.
\nWork began on April 4, and the project is scheduled for public use by January 4 next year.
\nThe sources further added that the Bedian Road Underpass, with a six-month deadline, is rapidly taking shape in just 2.5 months, with work commencing on August 26. The contractual deadline for completion stands at February 26 next year.
\nSimilarly, the Khalid Butt Chowk Underpass, originally slated for six months, is progressing at an accelerated pace and is expected to open for public use in around two months.
\nWork officially kicked off on September 14, with a contractual completion date of March 10 next year.
\nThese strategic projects are poised to significantly enhance traffic management at crucial junctions, benefitting approximately 800,000 vehicles per day.
