\nFormer Pakistani batter Mohammad Yousuf made a big prediction about the Indian cricket team saying that Rohit Sharma-led unit will go undefeated in the ICC World Cup 2023.
\nYousuf, who represented Pakistan in 381 international matches, argued that India showed no weakness and for that reason, they remain the firm favourites to life the trophy on November 19.
\n\u201cBefore the game, it looked like a tight match between two strong teams was likely. However, now, only one team is leading the tournament. India is the favourite because they have excellent batsmen, bowlers, top-notch fielding, and they\u2019re playing well as a unit,\u201d Yousuf said on his YouTube channel.
\nThe 49-year-old then talked about the importance of Rahul Dravid\u2019s contribution saying that he along with Sharma united the team.
\n\u201cIndia is shining with brilliant performances, and their hard work is evident. Rahul Dravid\u2019s contribution is noteworthy, bringing the team together and aiding in strategic planning. The beautiful chemistry between Dravid and Rohit Sharma unites the entire team,\u201d he added.
\n\u201cI firmly believe India won\u2019t lose any match in the tournament. It would take bad luck for them to face defeat. They have all their bases covered, and are a team without any weaknesses,\u201d he concluded.
\nIt is worth mentioning that India is the only team yet to taste a defeat in the World Cup as the Blues emerged victorious in eight out of eight matches and they did not only win their games but also won them comfortably and in a one-sided manner.
\nThey also overcame the best teams of this tournament \u2014 Australia, New Zealand and South Africa \u2014 and have consistently proven that they are the serious contenders to win the mega event.
\nEarlier on Sunday (November 5), India demolished South Africa by 243 runs in the 37th match of the ICC World Cup 2023 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
\nThe Proteas\u2019 batters found themselves helpless, failing to face the deadly Indian bowling attack as they lost five wickets for just 40 runs in 13.1 overs.
\nThey were all out for 83 runs, suffering their biggest defeat of this World Cup.
