\nThe Islamabad Capital Police Shahzad Town police station and Homicide unit police teams have arrested an accused involved in a murder case and recovered murder tool and motorbike used in crime from his possession, a public relations officer said.
\nHe said that, on Oct 08, 2023, the Shahzad Town police station received an application from a citizen who stated that an accused namely Nusrat Ullah came to my house and opened gun fire on my mother and sister, from which my mother succumbed to her injuries and died on the spot while my sister suffer serious injuries.
\nUpon receiving the application, the Shahzad Town police team registered an FIR no. 753\/23. Following this incident, a special investigation team was constituted.
\nThe police team utilized all available resources and used technical and scientific methods and arrested the accused namely Nusrat Ullah and recovered murder tool pistol and motorbike used in crime from his possession, while further investigation is underway.
\nICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and to ensure the safety of lives and property of citizens on priority basis.
\nHe said that the Islamabad Capital Police adopt a zero tolerance policy against violence including injustices and crimes and the accused involved in it will be brought to justice by taking strict legal action against them.
