\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai Wednesday said that a committee has been constituted to finalize the modalities relating to financial and developmental matters arisen after merger of erstwhile tribal areas.
\nHe was briefing the media about decisions taken in meeting of provincial cabinet chaired by KP Chief Minister, Mahmud Khan. He said that provincial cabinet after discussing matter relating to financial and development aspects of FATA merger constituted a committee under the headship of Senior Minister, Atif Khan.
\nThe cabinet also considered ways and means to merge erstwhile FATA directorates into provincial departments, its mechanism and apprehensions of stakeholders. He said that FATA secretariat would be made administrative part of provincial government.
\nHe said that Board of Directors Bank of Khyber would be comprised nine directors among which four directors would be selected by the government adding the four directors would include Additional Chief Secretary (P&D), Secretary Finance, Rashid Ahmad Khan and Shehryar Khan for a period of three years.
\nHe said that cabinet has also approved the memorandum of understanding inked between provincial government and Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Company (KHNPC) for the construction of 496MW Spatgah Power Project in District Kohistan.
\nHe said that one billion dollar Spatgah Power Project would be run under private public partnership. He said that among 20 percent shares of power project, 26 percent would be of KP government while the remaining shares would be of KHNPC.
\nShaukat Yousafzaid informed that 256 among 356 micro hydro power projects initiated by KP government, have been completed that would be handed over to local communities after operationalization. He said that amendment in PEDO Act has been proposed for transfer of these projects to local communities.
\nHe said that provincial government has also approved amendment in Police Rules under which fast track promotions would be given to police officials including the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector to District Police Officer after consulting Police Consultation Board.
\nInfo minister said that after abolishment of KP Ehtisab Commission all the cases and assets of the commission would be handed over to Anti-Corruption. He said that efforts would be made to increase the efficiency and productivity of Anti-Corruption Department.
\nHe also said that 107 employees of KP Ehtisab Commission would be given option of golden handshake or inclusion in surplus pool.
\nKP Special Assistant on Information Technology Kamran Bangash also briefed the media regarding Khyber Pakhtunkhwa digital police.
