\nPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz\u2019s (PML-N) senior leader and former prime minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, on Tuesday while expressing his perspective on the ongoing case against him, stated that the case against him had concluded, but was reinstated by the previous chief justice before leaving office.
\nSpeaking to the media outside the NAB court, he expressed concerns about the resumption of court appearances related to the LNG case and drew attention to the plight of individuals who brought significant investments in the country, totaling Rs 2 billion and Rs 2000 billion.
\nThe former PM said despite their contributions, these individuals found themselves entangled in legal battles with anti-graft watchdog and argued that to attract more investment to the country, such legal proceedings and spectacles needed to come to an end.
\nAbbasi highlighted the paradox where individuals who had invested billions were now facing accusations and legal hurdles, hindering their ability to continue contributing to the country\u2019s economic growth.
\nThe PML-N leader went on to emphasize the importance of creating an environment conducive to investment, asserting that the ongoing legal battles were detrimental to Pakistan\u2019s economic prospects. He urged an end to these spectacles, stating that playing politics should be confined to politicians and not extend to bureaucrats and investors.
