PPP holds power show in Dir

\nThe Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) on Tuesday held a power show in Dir district in connection with its general elections preparations and workers convention across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nAddressing the public gathering, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the huge crowd has made the party proud the people of Dir have always stood with the party of the martyrs.
\nThe people of Pakistan are faced with a plethora of issues today including inflation, unemployment and poverty are reaching unprecedented levels and the leaders of the country do not have the slightest idea of the pain that the people are suffering through.
\nBilawal said the manner with which the politics of hate and division is being given space in the country is further harming it.
\n\u201cWe are not aware of what our traditional politicians intend to do, but their politics is harming the people. We have to leave this politics behind if we are to solve the problems of the people so that we can combat poverty, terrorism and all other crises,\u201d he said.
\nChairman Bilawal said that he has experienced both the government and the opposition, and Pakistan has unparalleled potential, adding the politics of hate and division must be stopped now.
\nThey are not engaging in politics, rather are using it as a means of carrying out personal vendetta against each other. The politicians of Lahore, Punjab especially are of the viewpoint that \u2018either they would play or no one else\u2019, he said.
\nPPP Chiarman shared when the PDM government was formed, we chose to become a part of it because our intention was to combat fundamental problems including the economy through the alliance.
\n\u201cWe had a good start as we came to power in a democratic manner and all institutions too announced their neutrality, and were remorseful over the mistakes made in the past,\u201d Bilawal added and said that the PPP, we welcomed this and were under the impression that our allies were those who talked of \u2018Vote Ko Izzat Do\u2019 and the democracy.
\nWe joined hands with them to help the country emerge from the economic crisis, bring a positive change and put a stop to the inflation.
\nHowever, the economic crisis worsened with the changing finance ministers, he said.
\nHe said as far as our political thought was concerned, we were hoping that true democracy would be restored but we, along with the young generation of the country, were disappointed to witness no such progress.
\nThe special tax reliefs given to the people by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto need to be made permanent. We have to establish a tax-free zone that ensures the progress of the people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
