Baloch Students Enforced Disappearance Case

\nIslamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned the Prime Minister (PM), Minister of Interior, Minister of Defense and Minister of Human Rights while issuing a written order in the case of implementation of the recommendations of the commission established regarding the enforced disappearance of Baloch students.
\nJustice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has issued a five-page written order of the previous hearing, in which the court has also summoned the interior secretary and the defense secretary to the court on November 29 at 11 am. According to the decree, 69 Baloch students of various universities were racially profiled, harassed and forcibly disappeared.
\nAccording to records, some of the missing students have returned home, but at least fifty are still missing. Former Chief Justice High Court Athar Minullah formed a commission to address the concerns of Baloch students.
\nPM and Home Minister from Balochistan did not take any positive action on this issue.
\nDespite twenty-one hearings, not getting a positive response on this issue is an insult to the Constitution of Pakistan.
\nJustice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the IHC remarked that the courts are the last ray of hope for the oppressed. Lazy behavior of state official has shaken the people\u2019s trust on even high courts. It alarming that state institutes are accused of force disappearance of Baloch students and they are powerless to recover them.
\nCourt has come to the conclusion that the federal government is dealing with this matter carelessly, the government of Pakistan, which is responsible for protecting the rights of the citizens, is not able to stop the violations of human rights.
\nAccording to the order of the IHC, the court has no choice but to summon the Prime Minister (PM), Minister of Defense and Interior, Minister of Human Rights, Secretary of Interior and Defense to appear in person at the next hearing.
\nJustice Mohsin Kayani expressed his remarks that the PM, ministers and secretaries should appear in court and tell why they are not giving importance to the matter.
\nAccording to the commission report, the students of the universities and colleges were picked up by the law enforcement agencies. It is hoped that the PM, ministers and secretaries will appear in the court with concrete results.
\nIt is hoped that the court will be informed that the missing students have returned to their homes, if any student is involved in anti-state activities, he should be produced in the relevant court.
\nIn case of failure, the above persons shall be deemed to be acting against the State interest, shall be deemed to be part of the system in which human rights violations are being committed, these persons shall be deemed to be acting in their presence.
